Carla launched EdUCater with a singular goal—to cater to MO school districts’ curricula resource needs.

As a founder and lead representative for the state, she is able to combine her love of literature and literacy with a well-honed business acumen, to seek the best resources available and bring them into districts statewide.

She regularly collaborates with district administrators and curriculum committees to help them implement customized and innovative curriculum solutions.

Carla lives in St. Louis with her husband, two daughters and their mini-Schnauzer. Carla supports various entrepreneurial, literacy and women’s causes. In her free time, she enjoys Jazzercise, yoga, and, of course, reading.

My career in education began as a library media specialist in 1992. What inspired me then, and continues to today, is observing that spark when a learner can't put that just right book down, and when students lean into the challenges offered by really masterful teachers.

Providing the resources to inspire Missouri teachers and students is why I started the EdUCater Team!

We "cater" to MO school districts by designing individualized curriculum solutions with a focus on both ELA and digital literacy. We know our job is done well when the needs of all learners are met and when an adoption and implementation are seamless.
